The Agile Education Program powered by Scrum Inc.™ curriculum was developed from Dr. Jeff Sutherland and Scrum Inc.’s 20+ years of experience delivering twice the value and impact at half the cost in organizations around the globe.

Dr Sutherland now creates Agile Education course curriculum and learning objectives are based off his experience in the field.

Graduates of the Agile Education Program are the only credential holders endorsed by Jeff Sutherland.

Only AEP Trainer graduates are authorized to teach this curriculum and certify students through the Agile Education Program. Course curriculum includes emphasis on Lean Principles,
Scrum Patterns of High-Performing Teams, Scrum@Scale®, and lessons from real-world implementations.

The curriculum goes beyond anointing people with a credential. The International Registry of Agile Professionals™provides

Why This License

Many people don't know that Scrum itself is not licensed. Scrum is an agile framework for managing and organizing work, particularly in software development. It is based on principles and practices outlined in the Scrum Guide, which is maintained by Scrum's co-creators, Ken Schwaber and Jeff Sutherland.

The Scrum Guide is freely available online and does not have a specific license. It is meant to be accessible to everyone and is often used as a reference for implementing Scrum in various contexts. Organizations and individuals are encouraged to follow the Scrum Guide to benefit from its guidance on agile project management.

Lizzy's journey in the Agile and Scrum space has been remarkable. As one of the first Black female Scrum Trainers, she played a pivotal role in introducing Scrum to countries in the Caribbean, Africa, and India, breaking new ground and fostering Agile education in diverse regions.

Initially credentialed by the Scrum Alliance, Lizzy held the prestigious title of Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) for nine years. However, in 2022, she began reevaluating her association with the Scrum Alliance, noting that neither of Scrum's co-creators maintained their ties with the organization. This prompted Lizzy to reconsider where she aligned her personal brand.

In 2018, Lizzy qualified to be the first Black Trainer to carry forward Jeff Sutherland's philosophy of Scrum. It wasn't until 2023 that she made the pivotal decision to align her brand, Youragilelady, with Agile Education under the banner powered by Scrum INC. This strategic move aimed to link her work directly to the creators of Scrum, emphasizing the importance of aligning with the source.

Lizzy acknowledges the challenges of this shift but is inspired by the inclusive nature of the Agile Education Community. For her, the commitment to associating her efforts with the authentic creators of Scrum rather than an organization that diverged from their path is a worthwhile endeavor.
